University Graduate Macy Sarchet Wins National Advertising Award

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Macy Sarchet, a spring 2012 graduate of Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, received a Silver National ADDY Award during the American Advertising Federation’s National Annual Convention held June 3 in Austin, Texas. This was the first time a Texas A&M-Corpus Christi student has received a national ADDY award.

Sarchet, who has a Bachelor of Arts in Communication-Media Studies with a minor in art, was presented the award through the AAF’s national student and professional competition for her outstanding work in graphic design.

Sarchet was also honored with a Gold ADDY Award and the "Rising Star Award" by the AAF Corpus Christi Chapter during its "Bring It Creative Class of 2011" awards competition held in February 2012. During the area competition, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi design students won 28 awards, including four "Best of Show" overall.
