CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Proud parents, family members, and friends witnessed nearly 100 students take the Performing Arts Center stage to receive their class rings on October 20.The official Ring Ceremony was one of the numerous events held during the Parents’ Weekend 2012.

University President Flavius Killebrew congratulated each student with a firm handshake, and a ring case.  He addressed the students, “Your ring signifies your value as an alumnus, and your membership in a network of friends.”

The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi class ring represents the founding of the University in 1947, the star of Texas, the student’s year of graduation, the original seal of Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, and the alumni logo.

The official graduation rings are worn with pride by upper classmen who plan to graduate in December or May.
