Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Reports Record Enrollment

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Enrollment Management at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi reports that total enrollment for the fall 2012 semester is a record 10,510, which includes all undergraduate and graduate students.

This is an increase of 3.4 percent over the fall 2011 enrollment of 10,162 students. In addition, 1,763 first-time college students enrolled for the fall semester, up 19.9 percent from fall 2011. Semester credit hours total 120,309, an increase of 4.4 percent over last year.

The University’s mechanical engineering program saw the most dramatic increase in enrollment with 231 students, up 40 percent from last fall. In addition, College of Science and Engineering enrollment is up 14.8 percent; enrollment in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences has increased 10.7 percent; and the College of Liberal Arts enrollment is up 7.7 percent from last fall.
