Local Politicians Talk Healthcare, Immigration in ‘Hot Seat’ Series

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – State Rep. Todd Hunter and U.S. Rep Blake Farenthold today (Monday, Nov. 26) discussed important issues ranging from healthcare to immigration reform during the Texas Tribune’s “The Hot Seat” Conversation Series held  in the University Center, Lone Star Ballroom at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.

About 150 guests attended the conversation about the Upcoming 83rd Legislative Session. A welcome was given by University President Flavius Killebrew. The series is hosted by Evan Smith, CEO and Editor-in-Chief of The Texas Tribune.

This event, which was free and open to the public, included a question-and-answer session with the audience. The Texas Tribune’s “Hot Seat” conversation series focuses on Texas and national politics and is held on different campuses across the state.
