Dr. Hong Xu Receives the Texas Digital Library Excellence Award for Innovation in Digital Libraries

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Dr. Hong Xu, University Research Librarian, has received the “Texas Digital Library Excellence Award for Innovation in Digital Libraries.” She was presented with the award during the Texas Conference on Digital Libraries held May 7-8 in Austin, Texas.

Xu received the award on behalf of the Research Coordination Network for Climate, Energy, Environment, and Engagement in Semiarid Regions (RCN CE3SAR) Project. She collaborated with Texas Digital Library to provide information services for the RCN CE3SAR Project. She has been part of the Research, Commercialization and Outreach team since May 2012.

The RCN CE3SAR Project is a National Science Foundation (NSF) funded project aimed at developing an innovative model for conducting interdisciplinary, region-specific, sustainability research closely tied to the needs of highly-engaged local stakeholders.
