HRI Announces Annual Gulf and Caribbean Fisheries Institute, Call for Papers

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and the Harte Research Institute for Gulf of Mexico Studies (HRI) will host the 66th annual Meeting of the Gulf and Caribbean Fisheries Institute (GCFI) from Monday, Nov. 4, through Friday, Nov. 8, at the Omni Corpus Christi Hotel, 900 North Shoreline Blvd.

The conference will feature thematic, technical, special, and poster sessions. Graduate student scholarships and awards will also be available.

“This is a great opportunity for our University graduate students to get international experience in downtown Corpus Christi,” said Dr. John W. Tunnell, Jr., HRI Associate Director and Research Scientist. “We are expecting around 350 participants representing more than 15  different countries.”
