The McNair Scholars Program at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi held a luncheon April 15 in the University Center, Lone Star Ballroom to recognize the McNair poster presenters and McNair faculty mentors for their hard work during the McNair Day 2014 event held earlier that morning.
More than 60 people attended the luncheon, which was only open to special guests including McNair poster presenters and faculty mentors. The event featured two guest speakers including: Keisha-Marie Alridge, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi McNair Scholar; and Dr. Frank Spaniol, Professor of Kinesiology.
Alridge talked about her experience as a McNair Scholar and the benefits that come along with being a scholar. She also talked about her admission to Illinois School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University of Chicago as a doctorate student in Clinical Psychology. Spaniol talked about his experience as a mentor.
