Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Launches New ‘Online Course Development’ Beginning Aug. 27

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The Office of Community Outreach and the Office of Distance Education and Learning Technology at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi are launching a new non-credit course titled “How to Design, Develop and Deliver Online Instruction” to begin Wednesday, Aug. 27, and run through Tuesday, Dec. 2.

The professional development course, which will be completed entirely through Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi's Blackboard Learning System, is designed to teach participants how to create more effective, engaging, online instruction.  The course will be taught by Dr. Lauren Cifuentes, Director of Distance Education, and Alexandra Janney, Instructional Designer.

The cost for the course is $995, and all members of the community are invited to enroll. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will earn 45 hours of continuing professional education credit and receive three certificates from Texas A&M-Corpus Christi: The Certificate of Best Practices for Online Course Design, the Certificate of Course Design and Development, and the Certificate of Course Delivery and Peer-Review.
