Nomination Deadline for Corpus Christi Under 40 Award Has Been Extended to Oct. 21

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and Corpus Christi Under 40 (CCU40) are now accepting nominations for the ninth annual “40-Under-40” awards. These awards recognize young professionals who have made significant contributions in their professional fields as well as through service in the community.

Nominations are being accepted through Tuesday, Oct. 21, for the award which each year honors the accomplishments of 40 professionals under the age of 40 who are dedicated to making a difference in Corpus Christi. An Application Drop Off Party will be held that same day at 5:30 p.m. at the Grandview Lounge, located inside the Best Western Marina Grand. In October, a selection committee comprised of former CCU40 recipients will finalize the list.

Those selected will be recognized at the Mayor’s Breakfast on Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015, at 7:30 a.m. at the Congressman Solomon P. Ortiz International Center. A CCU40 Recipient Recognition Party will be held on Friday, Jan. 30, 2015, at 7 p.m. at the House of Rock.

This year’s steering committee is co-chaired by past CCU40 recipients Omar Lopez and Heidi Hovda.
