Alumnus Justin Guajardo Accepted as Policy Fellow to the Texas House of Representatives

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Justin Guajardo, who graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 2014 from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, has been accepted as a new Policy Fellow to the Texas House of Representatives by the Mexican American Legislative Leadership Foundation. This highly competitive position is one of only four selected from across the state.

“It is an honor to have been selected as a Policy Fellow. I am really excited to experience the legislative process first hand at the Texas Capitol.”

Guajardo is assigned to Representative Marisa Marquez from House District 77. This district includes downtown El Paso and the University of Texas-El Paso.

Guajardo will utilize the skills he acquired at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi while earning his Political Science degree. These skills include monitoring the progress of bills through the legislative process, writing bill summaries, attending committee meetings, and other official businesses of the state.
