Division of Student Engagement and Success Recognized As One of the ‘Most Promising Places to Work in Student Affairs’ in the Nation

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas –The Division of Student Engagement and Success (SEAS) at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi was picked as one of the top “Most Promising Places to Work in Student Affairs” in the United States in 2015.

SEAS was recognized by The Center for Higher Education Enterprise at Ohio State University in collaboration with “Diverse: Issues in Higher Education” magazine, for its strong commitment to diversity, as well as staffing practices which are family-friendly, excellent salary/benefits and strong professional development opportunities.

Currently, SEAS is made up of departments including the University Center and Student Activities, Disability Services, the University Counseling Center, and Career Services, among others.

“We are extremely proud to be recognized as one of the top places to work in Student Affairs,” said Dr. Don Albrecht, Vice President for Student Engagement and Success. “To be recognized nationally for connecting students to their Island University validates everyone in the department who dedicate themselves to serving our student body.”  

This is the second year in a row that SEAS has been recognized as one of the most promising places to work in Student Affairs.
