Know a Person Under 40 Making a Difference in Our Community? The Nomination Deadline for Corpus Christi Under 40 Award is Oct. 15.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, in conjunction with Young Business Professionals (YBP) and Corpus Christi Under 40 (CCU40), is now accepting nominations for the 10th annual “Under-40” awards. These awards recognize young professionals who have made significant contributions in their professional fields as well as through service in the community. CCU40 not only raises awareness of our young professional community, but it also gives a percentage of its proceeds to charity.

Nominations are being accepted through Thursday, Oct. 15, for the award, which each year honors the accomplishments of 40 professionals under the age of 40 who are dedicated to making a difference in Corpus Christi. In October and November, a selection committee, comprised of former CCU40 recipients, will finalize the list. Winners will be publicly announced on Monday, Dec. 7.

Those selected will be recognized at the Mayor’s Breakfast on Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2016, at 7:30 a.m. in the University Center, Anchor Ballroom.

This year’s steering committee is co-chaired by Mike Munoz and Marjorie Boudreaux, who were both honored as 2013 recipients of the Corpus Christi Under Forty Award.

  • Munoz works as a Project Manager, assisting with commercial construction projects, for B.E. Beecroft Co., Inc. He received a Bachelor of Science in Construction Science from Texas A&M University – College Station.
  • Boudreaux is the Vice President of Marketing & Fund Development at Goodwill Industries of South Texas.  She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.
