Programs for Academic Student Support Ceremony for Graduates

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The Programs for Academic Student Support (PASS) at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi held a graduation celebration Wednesday, December 2, to honor more than 20 graduates for the fall semester from Student Support Services, the SOAR STEM Program, and McNair Scholars Program.  The ceremony provides a recognition opportunity to commend students who have worked to successfully complete their undergraduate degree.  Several of the students have already been accepted into Masters and professional school programs across the country.

More than 60 people attended, which included parents, family and friends. Graduates were recognized and given graduation gifts including a medallion, graduation cords, certificates or pens and padfolios.

PASS programs serve the needs of low-income, first-generation college students and under-represented students in higher education.  One of the main goals of PASS is to increase student retention and graduation.  Each of the PASS programs provides a pathway to student academic success.
