Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi officials have announced Dr. Amy Aldridge Sanford as the Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs.
Dr. Sanford comes to Academic Affairs with six years of experience as department chair, including three years with the Department of Communication & Media at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and three years at Northeastern State University in Oklahoma. She is also an Associate Professor of Communication.
She has served as a graduate coordinator, interim assistant dean, founding director of a minor in Women’s & Gender Studies and a director of forensics for speech and debate. She is currently the 2nd Vice President for the Central States Communication Association.
Dr. Aldridge Sanford was as an administrative fellow during the spring semester in the Division of Academic Affairs, where she advanced new program proposals and worked closely with Dr. Paul Meyer, Associate Vice Provost for Academic Affairs.
Provost Kelly Quintanilla stated, “We are very fortunate to find a candidate with Dr. Aldridge Sanford’s experience and qualifications. I am thrilled she is joining the Academic Affairs team.”
