CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi is offering an array of new learning opportunities within the College of Education and Human Development for teaching professionals wanting to expand their certifications or advance their leadership skills.
Information sessions for the Principalship Certification Program and Superintendent Certification Program with classes beginning in fall 2016 will take place later this month. In addition, Principalship Exam Review Sessions will be offered in June and July 2016.
Information and review sessions will be offered on the dates below.
- Thursday, June 23: Principalship Certification Program Info Session: A Principalship Certification Program information session will be held from 5-6 p.m. in the University Center, room 306. The program allows students to work toward a master's degree and principal certification simultaneously. Through the program, students will gain the knowledge and skills needed as K-12 administrators to successfully meet demands of the 21st century principalship. The information session is free and open to anyone with teacher certification, which includes TAMU-CC undergraduate alumni and members of the public who are teachers.
- Thursday, June 23: Superintendent Certification Program Info Session: A Superintendent Certification Program information session will be held from 5-6 p.m. in the University Center, room 306. Through the program, students will gain the knowledge and skills necessary for prospective district-level administrators to succeed in the 21st century. The information session is free and open to anyone who has already has a master’s degree, principal (or equivalent) certification, or acceptable district-level leadership experience, which includes TAMU-CC alumni and members of the public who are current campus and district-level administrators, or who otherwise meet the requirements for certification.
- June 18, July 9 and July 23: Principalship Exam Review Sessions: Principalship Exam Review Sessions will be held from 2-5 p.m. on the following dates on the second floor of the Early Childhood Development Center.

- Saturday, July 23
The purpose of the sessions is to help future principals prepare for the TExES
Principalship Exam. Participants may include current and former students, as well as members of the public who have not yet attended TAMU-CC. Sessions are open to the public, but registration is required. To register, click here. Registration is free for current or former students of the TAMU-CC Educational Administration program and $25 for others.
