Dr. Ted Guffy Announced as Interim Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - At the recommendation of Texas A&M University System Chancellor John Sharp, Dr. Norman “Ted” Guffy has been announced as Interim Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.

Guffy’s appointment is effective Jan. 1, 2017, when Dr. Kelly Quintanilla, the current Provost, will assume the role of Interim President of Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.

Guffy is a familiar face at A&M-Corpus Christi, having served as interim provost in 2010-2011. He retired from West Texas A&M University in 2006 as dean of the College of Education and Social Sciences, and also previously served as interim dean of the College of Education at A&M-Corpus Christi in 2008.
