SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi congratulates Joseph Kilgore, a member of the Islanders Men’s Basketball team, for winning the Dunkin’ Donuts Slam Dunk Championship during the 30th annual State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships. The Championship took place in front of a sold-out crowd on March 29, at the Bill Greehey Arena located at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio.

Kilgore went all out, dunk-for-dunk, against some of the nation’s finest slam dunk performers during three rounds of competition. A total of eight men’s college basketball players were selected to take part in the Slam Dunk Championship. Earning the top score in the first and second round of the competition, Kilgore defeated Zach Smith of Texas Tech University with a score of 50 points in the final round – taking home the title of champion.
