The Graduate Form has been discontinued. Please submit a Resume and Essay via email
Submit a Resume- Please email to gradweb@tamucc.edu with your student ID (A#) and the program you are applying for in the subject line.
This resume should not simply be a list of the places where you have worked but should include an outline of your professional and scholarly activities. It may be more than one page. You should present your information starting with most recent activities and ending with your earlier experiences. You can include activities you completed as a student if you graduated from your undergraduate program less than two years ago. Include in your resume
- Name and contact information
- Education (date and name of institutions where degrees earned)
- Professional licensures and certification with expiration dates noted
- Employment (include relevant details to demonstrate level of expertise where appropriate)
- Awards and honors
- Research experiences (in any role other than participant)
- Publications, presentations, workshops in which you were a speaker/presenter
- Professional membership (indicate leadership roles when appropriate)
- Workplace committee/taskforce memberships (include leadership positions you may have held in these experiences)
- Other organizational memberships (include leadership roles when appropriate)
Submit an Essay- Please email to gradweb@tamucc.edu with your student ID (A#) and the program you are applying for in the subject line.
Write an essay/personal statement that describes your goals related to graduate education in nursing. In the essay, please be specific about how a Masters of Science in Nursing (in your specific track of interest) will add to your current foundation of knowledge and enable you to further your career goals. You should also describe the position you anticipate seeking upon completion of the MSN degree and how this education will prepare you to work in the new role or support your current role. Applicants are encouraged to review the Texas Board of Nursing for reference. Finally, explain how your current professional experiences and the graduate education you are seeking create a foundation for your future career goal.
