Late registration begins the first class day until the last day to add. Students registering for the first time starting the first class day will be assessed a $25 late registration fee. Additional fees for late payment may apply. Since many courses will be at capacity, late registrants may need to select courses from a reduced schedule. Students are not permitted to register after the close of the late registration period except in extenuating circumstances.
Adding Courses After Late Registration
After the late registration period, students may not add undergraduate courses except in extenuating circumstances as approved by the instructor and department chair of the course offered. Students seeking to add a course after late registration must complete the “Course Add Form After Late Registration.” There is no guarantee that a late registration request will be approved. No request will be approved after the posted census date listed in the academic calendar.
Schedule Changes
Students can add classes through self-service in SAIL or the Registrar’s Office from the beginning of the registration period through the late registration Students cannot add a course for credit or make a section change after the last day of late registration.
Students can drop or swap (adding and dropping a class concurrently) classes through self-service in SAIL from the beginning of the registration period through the end of the late registration
Students dropping their last class on or after the first day of classes must complete the withdrawal process. After the late registration period, students must drop any course using the course scheduling form. Drops and withdraws can continue through the last day posted on the academic calendar.
No grade or withdrawal is posted if students drop courses before 11:59 pm (CST) on the census date for that semester or mini-term. Any courses dropped before this deadline do not count in the six-drop
Students needing to enroll in college readiness co-requisite courses may do so through the late registration No student will be permitted to enroll in a college readiness co-corequisite course after the late registration period.
Although unusual, a course section may be canceled due to low enrollment or staffing considerations. The department that cancels the class will notify any students already enrolled and assist with alternate At the beginning of the term, students should always check for changes regarding class meeting times or classroom locations.
