Calculate Your GPA
Our University uses a 4.0 scale for calculation of Grade Point Average (GPA).
How GPA is calculated
For undergraduate students, only grades earned at A&M-Corpus Christi will be used to calculate your GPA at the University as used in determination of your academic rank and eligibility for graduation. If you are a graduate student, your GPA is computed both on all graduate work taken at this University AND in your present program of study.
Calculate your GPA
GPA is determined by dividing the total number of grade points earned by the number of semester credit hours taken for a qualitative grade.
- Multiply each grade by the number of credit hours for that course.
- Total the Semester Credit Hours and Grade Points.
Course | Grade | Semester Credit Hours | Grade Points | ||
ASTR1311 | A = 4 | X | 3 | = | 12 |
COMM1315 | B = 3 | X | 3 | = | 9 |
HIST1302 | A = 4 | X | 3 | = | 12 |
MATH1470 | C = 2 | X | 4 | = | 8 |
Totals | 13 | 41 |
- Divide the total Grade Points by the total Credit Hours:
41 divided by 13 = 3.15 GPA
