Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi wants to help parents, family, and extended/chosen families during their student's college application and enrollment process. Navigating the College Search Process

Step 1: Join our Mailing List

Make sure your student is on our mailing/communications list to receive the most-up-to-date information about our upcoming events, deadlines, and more! CLICK HERE to request information. 

Step 2: Take Entrance Exams

TAMU-CC requires first-time freshmen to take an ACT or SAT test. When your student registers for a national exam, please make sure they add Texas A&M-Corpus Christi to make sure we receive their scores.

TAMU-CC superscores, so we recommend that students submit all attempts. 

Step 3: Visit Campus

The best way to determine if the Island University is a great fit for your student, we recommend visiting campus for a tour or an admissions event.

Step 4: Get to Know Your Admissions Counselor 

Admissions counselors are available to assist you and your students during the application and enrollment process. Contact them for assistance. 

Step 5: Complete the Financial Aid Application 

The FAFSA application opens on October 1st of the student's senior year. Complete the application and soon as possible. Aid is awarded after acceptance. 

Step 6: Have Your Student Check Their Islander Email

After admission to TAMU-CC, it is important that your student continuously checks their Islander Email. The university will send important communications about housing, Islander Launch orientation, financial aid, and more only through this account. 

Step 7: Submit Proof of Bacterial Meningitis Vaccination 

All students, under the age of 22 must submit proof of Bacterial Meningitis Vaccination. For more information, please visit our admitted student webpage.  

Step 8: Apply for Islander Housing

Most first-year students are required to live on-campus and have an option to live at Miramar or Momentum Village. We encourage all students and parents to visit the housing website to review important information prior to signing a lease. 

Step 9: Register for Islander Launch (Orientation)

Is your student ready to commit to TAMU-CC? Help your student register for Islander Launch and secure their place at the Island! Guest/Parents are encouraged to attend.
