The Island Ambassadors

Island Ambassadors must complete weekly tours and attend all recruitment events as well as training meetings. Island Ambassadors may also visit schools and community events, assist in student panels, call campaigns, and more to help with TAMU-CC's recruitment efforts. 

• $800 yearly credit ($400 per semester)

Presidential Island Ambassadors (VIP Experience Team) have the responsibilities of the general team above in addition to conducting VIP tours for special guests, attending presidential and institutional advancement or alumni events, and serving as marshals at commencement ceremonies. Members of the general Island Ambassador team have the opportunity to apply for the VIP Experience Team after two semesters of membership.

Summer Islander Launch (Orientation) Team will serve as summer orientation leaders to welcome incoming students to campus. This team will have additional training requirements to ensure a smooth summer transition. Students on this team will be provided housing on campus June-August and must be available for the two-day summer events. 

• $2,100 summer credit
• Free summer housing at Miramar 
• Priority class registration 
• Islander merch
• Letters of recommendation 
• Career experience for resumes
• Graduation stole (after 2 years of active participation)

• Complete an interview
• Have a minimum 2.5 GPA
• Give weekly campus tours/assist in the office
• Attend all trainings
• Attend all required events and tour shifts
• Be enrolled full-time (12 hours) 
• Be an undergraduate student (no graduate students)
• Be certified to give campus tours after training 

The application process will require you to be interviewed by staff from Enrollment Management. 

All incoming and current undergraduate students are eligible to apply.
