Summer financial aid requires no additional application, instead it uses the 2024-2025 FAFSA®. Summer aid is based on your eligibility, enrollment, and length of classes. Please read below for more specific information regarding summer aid.
Summer is a continuation of the current school year. Federal loan eligibility in the summer is based on the remaining eligibility after fall and spring.
Be enrolled at least half-time (a total of 6 hours that count toward your degree for undergraduates, a total of 3 hours for graduate students and 3 hours for doctoral students).
Be a degree-seeking student (as opposed to a visiting or transient student).
Financial aid is disbursed to the Business Office 10 days before the first day of classes.
If you are needing to drop a class and financial aid has already been paid, you may be required to pay that aid back. If you are thinking of dropping a class, please click here to schedule an appointment with a financial aid advisor to discuss your options.
If you live on campus(Miramar or Momentum), but do not plan on taking classes, you will not receive any aid. You must be enrolled part-time to receive any financial aid.
