Aspiring Teacher Ambassador Scholarship
Junior & senior education students in high-needs areas: Apply for the Aspiring Teacher Ambassador Scholarship!

The College of Education and Human Development, with support from the Sid Richardson Foundation, is seeking to identify five Aspiring Teacher Ambassadors who will support recruitment of preservice teachers. Those selected will serve for two semesters, spring and fall 2024, and receive scholarships in the amount of $1,250 per semester for each of the two semesters. Aspiring Teacher Ambassadors will:
- Establish, organize, and lead a TAMUCC Chapter of Aspiring Rising Educators; and
- Recruit prospective preservice teachers interested in Mathematics, Science, Bilingual Education, or Special Education from among current TAMUCC undergraduate students and high school students in the ESC Region II area (conducting at least 5 outreach activities per semester for two semesters).
To apply for the Aspiring Teacher Ambassador Scholarship, you must:
- Be a junior or senior, seeking teacher certification in 4-8 or 7-12 Mathematics, 4-8 or 7-12 Science, Bilingual Education, or Special Education
- Have a GPA of 2.75 or above
