Women’s History Month at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi

March 1st - March 31st

In observance of Women’s History Month (March 1-31), Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi is celebrating by hosting a variety of events on campus offering enriching conversations, presentations, and showcases that provide varied perspectives and contributions of Women to TAMU-CC, the Coastal Bend and beyond. March 03 – Women’s History Month Celebration
University Center Lonestar Ballroom | 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Join ICA as we celebrate the beginning of Women’s History Month. We will have a featured Guest Speaker, Women centered Student Organizations and Greek Life tabling, locally owned women vendors selling items, and local Women centered Community Organizations providing information on their services. March 25 – Celebrate Women’s History Month at Islander Dining Hall
University Center Bayview Room 320 | Noon - 1:00 p.m.

Celebrate Women’s History Month with Selena vibes! Join the library for a special screening of Corpus: A Home Movie for Selena, a heartfelt documentary made right here in Corpus Christi. March 25 – Movie Night: “Wicked”
University Center Legacy Room 145

University Center Programs is hosting a Wicked-themed movie night to celebrate the power of strong female friendships and the importance of women's empowerment. The evening will feature the iconic musical, showcasing the strength and resilience of women, paired with fun activities that highlight solidarity and support. Women's History Month offers us a powerful opportunity to reflect on the accomplishments of women throughout history and honor their ongoing contributions. March 26 – Celebrate Women’s History Month at Islander Dining Hall
Islander Dining Hall | 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Join us at Islander Dining Hall as we honor the incredible women who have shaped culinary history! For Women’s History Month, we’re featuring a special menu that highlights dishes and desserts created or influenced by women.

Menu Highlights Include:

  • Ice Cream Sundae Bar
  • Chocolate Chip Cookies
  • Blondies

Each of these delicious treats has a story to tell of the women behind them—whether they’re the creators, the innovators, or the cultural trailblazers who helped shape the way we enjoy food today. To add to the celebration, we’ll have photos and bios of influential women displayed around the dining hall, honoring their contributions to food, culture, and society. Come enjoy great food, learn about the women who made history, and celebrate their legacies with us on March 26th from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM!
