Accommodations
Any person with a disability participating in university programs, services, or activities may file a complaint regarding inaccessible digital content used in activities, programs, or services. The quickest way to file is through the Campus Complaint Form. Their concerns will be forwarded to the appropriate campus administrator to address.
Students with disabilities may directly contact Disability Services and use the Grievance Procedures.
Most of the time, when a person with a disability makes an accommodation request, it is covered as a civil right under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Some examples of how they may be addressed:
- an accommodation
- an ADA accommodation request
- an ADA complaint
Their meanings may be slightly different. For example, a request may indicate the person with a disability is asking for assistance knowing they will likely get their reasonable accommodation needs met in a speedy manner. A complaint indicates less trust in a speedy turnaround and may escalate to a claim of discrimination based on their disability. All accommodations requests at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi are considered high priority and will be addressed in a speedy manner.
