Blackboard
Blackboard is the official learning management system for TAMU-CC, designed to support your blended and fully online course needs. Login to Blackboard Learn. Blackboard Mobile app allows for a simple, easy-to-use and enjoyable mobile learning for the on the go, goal-oriented learner.
DegreeWorks
DegreeWorks is an easy-to-use online set of academic planning tools that helps students and advisors see what courses and requirements students need to graduate. Login to DegreeWorks.
Duo
Duo is a two-factor authentication service. It helps to assert the identity of a user requesting access to an application or service. Duo can be used with a device or without it. Login to Duo and set preferences.
Islander Email
The Islander student email address is the primary way in which the university will contact you. Check your email any time at islander.tamucc.edu/mail. Student email address format is IslandID@islander.tamucc.edu.
Online Testing and Proctoring
Your instructor may choose to use a remote proctoring service for online tests. Online test proctoring may come at an additional cost to you per test. Visit Online Testing Proctored Exams page to learn about the different online proctoring solutions at TAMU-CC.
Office 365
Microsoft Office 365 is provided by the university free of charge to everyone. Students may install Office 365 on up to five different devices. Login to Office 365. Access to the Office suite is for students including one year (365 days) after the last semester attended at TAMU-CC.
S.A.I.L
S.A.I.L. is a secure student portal where students can access personal, academic, and financial records at TAMU-CC. Use S.A.I.L. to register for classes, view grades, pay tuition, accept financial aid awards, etc. Login to sail.tamucc.edu.
Zoom
Zoom is a real-time collaboration tool that supports interactions for video conferencing, online meetings, screen share, and webinars. Use your Island ID to login to tamucc.zoom.us.
Starfish
Starfish, an Early Alert program, offers convenient early warning identification capabilities and connects students to a collaborative “Success Network”. This network of faculty, advisors, and specialized support staff are then able to address students’ needs and inquiries in real-time. Login to starfish.tamucc.edu.
LinkedIn Learning
LinkedIn Learning is an online training resource that features thousands of video tutorials and training resources about business, technology, and creative skills. The subscription for the university offers unlimited access to a vast library of engaging video tutorials and industry-leading content taught by recognized industry expert instructors in leadership, project management, graphic design, software development, and much more. MatLab
MatLab is a proprietary multi-paradigm programming language and numeric computing environment developed by MathWorks. MATLAB allows matrix manipulations, plotting of functions and data, implementation of algorithms, creation of user interfaces, and interfacing with programs written in other languages. Respondus Lockdown + Monitor
Respondus Lockdown Browser prevents utilities such as copy & paste, search engines, or the launching of other applications during online exams. Monitor is a free automatic proctoring service that records your exam attempt through lockdown browser. For more information visit the Digital Learning Academic Instruction website for Respondus.
Turnitin
Turnitin is an originality checking tool that helps to check students’ work for proper citation or originality. Your instructor will provide a link in the Blackboard course.
SPSS
SPSS is a software package for the management and statistical analysis of social science data available in select university labs. The software is also available for a discounted price at onthehub.com.
Qualtrics

Campus Wi-fi
Islander_Student is the secure wireless network recommended for any student with an IslandID and password. Some Android devices require Phase 2 Authentication to be set to “MSCHAPV2.”
