Hospital Listings
- Introduction: Designed to promote professional growth for newly graduated Registered Nurses or those with less than 6 months RN experience. Components of the program consist of a standardized competency-based curriculum developed on current evidence-based practices. The pathway connects competency and checklist templates, online content, facilitator-led classes, exams, and simulation into a sensible workflow. Pairs each participant with a trained personal preceptor on their home unit. Includes debriefing sessions and evaluations to assess progress and arrange for additional assistance as needed.
- Ideal Candidate Profile: Must be a new graduate from an accredited nursing school with little or no experience. Must have a current RN license prior to orientation start. BLS certified American Heart Association. Demonstrate interest in professional growth and development.
- Recruiting Timeline: There are three starting Cohorts a year in the Spring, Fall, and Summer. Currently recruiting for Summer ‘23 Residency Program. Deadline to apply for Summer ‘23 residency is September 9th. The Summer cohort will start in October 2023.

Introduction: The Nurse Residency program is 13-16-week program with simulation lab, on-site training, and online coursework. During the training time (first 6 weeks), the schedule will be Monday-Friday, with 40-hour work weeks (8- hour days). After this training period, the shifts will transition to 12 hours at the facility. Didactic and Simulation training is provided at an offsite location. All participants that successfully complete the program will move into full-time roles at the facility that extended the initial offer. All who are selected for this program will be asked to sign a 2-year commitment with the facility of hire. If the candidate leaves the facility for any reason before the 2-year commitment is fulfilled, they will be required to meet a financial responsibility.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) obtained within 30 days of employment
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within 1 year of employment
- Other Certifications maybe required during employment
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- Valid TX Registered Nurse License (or proof that you have applied) or Graduate Nurse permit in the State
- No previous experience needed
- Some travel maybe needed for training

- Introduction: Memorial Hermann Health System Nurse Residency Program is accredited with distinction as a Practice Transition Program by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation in Practice Transition Programs. The program lasts 12 months and offers an interactive, evidence-based curriculum designed to build clinical skills and support the professional development of new nurses.
- Ideal candidate profile: Ideal candidates will have a minimum Nursing GPA of 3.0, completion of nursing degree (ADN or BSN) from an accredited program with less than 12 months of experience. current, unencumbered Texas RN license (upon hire), and an active BLS Certification.
- Recruiting timeline: 3 cohorts a year – Spring (December grads), Summer (May Grads), and Fall (August graduates). However, they are always actively recruiting to fill additional seats, or any seats that may still be open for that cohort. If you are licensed in time to start, they will work with you to get you started.

Introduction: The Baylor Scott & White Health (BSWH) offers a comprehensive Graduate Nurse Residency Program designed to facilitate a smooth transition into nursing practice. The program provides clinical practicum experience under the guidance of qualified preceptors and systematic instruction.
Ideal Candidate Profile: Recent graduates from accredited nursing schools within the past 6 months are eligible to apply. Applicants can receive job offers before passing the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) exam or graduating. Graduates with a Graduate Nurse permit can begin working while awaiting their test.

- Introduction: The program is structured to support new nurse cohort bonding with your peers. You will participate in online and classroom learning, meet, and interact with your team members, fellow nurses, administration, nursing, and physician leaders. Your program includes an assigned nurse preceptor who will work with you beginning at orientation and throughout your program. You will be supported with ongoing training and will have opportunities for networking and social activities during the year.

Introduction: Post Acute Medical does not offer a new graduate residency program. All new nurses, regardless of experience, go through an orientation program to help them learn the policies, procedures and specifics of working on their unit. New nurses are paired with a nurse preceptor, who checks in with them regularly. Nurse preceptors are uniquely qualified to provide exceptional in-hospital training. They possess knowledge of policies and procedures as evidenced through demonstrated clinical practice. Preceptors serve as a role model for others because of their expert clinical skills and excellent customer relation skills.
Ideal Candidate Profile: Nurses who have graduated with their degree and who have scheduled their NCLEX testing date are welcome to apply for nursing positions within PAM Health.

Introduction: PeaceHealth’s New Grad Residency Program is a 12-month long program for nursing graduates with either an ADN or BSN who have been licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) for less than 12 months. The goal is to help nurses with the transition from an entry level advanced beginner nurse to competent professional, providing safe and quality care to our patients. All newly graduated nurses in all clinical areas are eligible to participate in the Nurse Residency Program. A new graduate is defined as less than 12 months since nursing school graduation (at time of application) and less than 6 months of acute care experience as an RN.
Ideal Candidate Profile: Must have the ability to work efficiently and responsibly in an environment with multiple work demands and short time frames. Commensurate with educational preparation demonstrates knowledge of and ability to apply age-specific principles of growth and development and life stages to meet each patient's needs for nursing care.
