The Job Development Internship Program is a grant between the City of Corpus Christi and the TAMU-CC Career & Professional Development Center. This program is available year-round while classes are in session. Contact us to learn more and to hire Islanders!
Eligibility and Benefits for Employers
Information on eligibility requirements and benefits for participating employers are listed below:Benefits
- Hire up to two talented undergraduate and/or graduate students from TAMU-CC per semester

- Receive a portion of wage reimbursement ($7.25 an hour up to 20 hours per week)

Eligibility
- Be a for profit business
- Be located in Corpus Christi, including Flour Bluff and Padre Island
- Have 49 employees or less
- Pay each intern a minimum of $14.50 per hour
- Schedule a 20-hour work week for each intern
Reimbursement Process
- Invoice TAMU-CC biweekly or monthly
- Receive reimbursements within 45 days from submission date
Student Eligibility

Completed at least two semesters at TAMU-CC or earned at least 60 credit hours overall from TAMU-CC; or transferred from another College or University with a minimum of 30 credit hours

Be currently enrolled at TAMU-CC at least part-time

Be available to work 20 hours per week consistently while employed in the program
