Faculty Development
Vital resources are needed for the recruitment and retention of world-class faculty. Faculty support includes funding for research, endowed chairs and professorships. Support for faculty from donors promotes the growth, quality, and effectiveness of the University long after the gifts are made. Under the Texas A&M Corpus Christi Foundation’s stewardship, initial gifts are invested to generate revenue, which contributes to the development of the campus by underwriting scientific research, professorships, and endowed chairs. Academic chairs represent their respective departments in college and university matters and act as liaisons between departmental faculty and the college dean. Support for an endowed chair assists in this process and enables academic chairs to perform at the highest level. Endowed chairs and professorships enhance academic excellence and increase educational pursuits within the respective degree programs.
