Auditions

Each student must complete a university application and audition for the Department of Music. To find out more about how to apply for admission to the university, please click here.

Music department and scholarship auditions will be done through in-person auditions or video recordings.

ISLANDER GUARANTEE PROGRAM
First year students may be eligible for our "Islander Guarantee" program, which fully covers student tuition! The deadline to submit your completed application & FAFSA is February 15th.

VIDEO AUDITION
  • Completed Entrance/Scholarship Audition form
  • Completed Online Application 
    • Online video auditions are reserved for students who live outside of Corpus Christi and Nueces county.
    • We encourage you to visit us at one of our in-person audition dates and to visit campus, but we understand some may live too far away.
  • Before starting the video audition process, be prepared with the following:
    • Prepare two contrasting videos of your performance displaying technical and virtuosic musicianship
    • Be prepared to sight-read. Vocalists may use a piano or other device for a reference pitch.
    • There will be a small fee paid to Snap Auditions for the service of administering your audition.
    • When submitted send a short email to Scott.Pool@tamucc.edu to notify us of your audition.
