The Politics of Education Reform

Activism and advocacy for educational reform for Latinxs in Texas has been a complex battle. Through newspaper reporting, opinion pieces, personal letters, and political publications, this exhibit demonstrates how public perception of some of the most notable figures and organizations has shifted over time.

WASP - Charlyene Creger, a superhero on many fronts!

Charlyene Creger was one of the few, Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP) that began on August 5th 1943 and was disbanded December 20th 1944. The courageous and adventurous lady who served this country with no recognition and went on to pursue her education despite significant challenges. Her perseverance and story is one that inspires !
