Description: An article about the future building project of the Performing Arts Center at TAMUCC, as Board of Regents authorized the naming of the $18 million center. Ed Harte and his wife Janet donated $3.5 million anonymously at the time to help with the design and construction of the center. The building was set to create a cultural boost and set an example for gift-giving as it would be able to bring people from all over the community together to various events that would be held.
