‘Resolution of Appreciation’ for Dr. Flavius Killebrew, TAMU-CC President Emeritus

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – During a regularly scheduled Port of Corpus Christi Association (POCCA) meeting on March 21 at the Solomon P. Ortiz Center, members of the Port Commission honored Dr. Flavius Killebrew, Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi President Emeritus, with a Resolution of Appreciation for a lifetime of service and leadership.

“For 44 years, Dr. Killebrew provided visionary leadership that led to key milestones in Texas A&M-Corpus Christi’s history, helping grow the University to become a premier institution of higher education in the Coastal Bend,” read the proclamation.

During the reading, Killebrew was thanked for his honorable and outstanding service to the Coastal Bend community. He was also recognized for impacting thousands of lives through his leadership at the Island University and the Texas A&M University System.

At the end of the reading, a framed signed original of the resolution was furnished to Killebrew and his wife, Kathy. University administration was also present at the joyful event.

“I am honored to be recognized by the Port of Corpus Christi,” said Killebrew, after the ceremony. “The university continues to benefit from strong partnerships with POCCA.”
