CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The demand for online learning programs has surged over the past five years, and Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi has been a leader in this growing movement. Once again, the Island University’s commitment to excellence in online education is earning national recognition. In the latest rankings from U.S. News & World Report, TAMU-CC’s online programs are listed among the best in the nation.

“We are thrilled that U.S. News and World Report has recognized the excellence of our online programs,” said Dr. Catherine Rudowsky, TAMU-CC Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. “This recognition reflects the hard work and dedication of our faculty and staff who are committed to providing a high-quality, flexible education that meets the needs of today’s modern learners.”

From busy young adults to working professionals, TAMU-CC’s diverse array of online degree programs offer the flexibility to balance life’s responsibilities while earning a top-quality education. Students can choose between 7-week or 15-week courses, with options ranging from self-paced learning to live, interactive sessions. Online students also benefit from a wide range of support services, including access to online tutoring, ensuring a seamless and enriching educational experience.

“To become an Islander, all you need is internet access, a will to work hard, and an ambition to learn,” Rudowsky said. “At TAMU-CC, we believe that online education is not just a convenience, but it’s also a powerful tool for expanding opportunities and fostering lifelong learning.”

According to U.S. News and World Report, TAMU-CC’s overall online bachelor’s programs continue to rank among the best, as does its online undergraduate business and Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs. Among the courses making big strides in the rankings this year include the online Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, which ranks second in the state of Texas, and TAMU-CC’s online Master of Science in Nursing, which also ranks second in the state in its category, according to the publication. Online nursing is ranked 37 in 2025, 12 spots higher than the prior ranking.

“Our online graduate nursing programs play a critical role in shaping the future of health care by ensuring the next generation of nurse leaders have the advanced skills and knowledge they need to meet the evolving demands of the industry,” Rudowsky said. “By offering this program online, we make it possible for nurses to advance their education while continuing to serve their communities. This program is not only an investment in their careers but also in the health and well-being of the communities they serve.”

Graduates of TAMU-CC’s online programs enjoy many of the same privileges as on-campus students. They can walk the stage at commencement, attend Islanders Athletics home games at no charge, participate in homecoming festivities, and connect with a vibrant network of Islander alumni.

“Our online programs provide the opportunity to learn from experienced faculty while balancing personal and professional commitments,” Rudowsky said. “As we continue to innovate and evolve, we remain dedicated to ensuring that our online students receive the best possible learning experience and are well-prepared to excel in their fields.”
