Mechanism of Action: Dapoxetine and its metabolites (Desmethyldapoxetine & didesmethyldapoxetine) are potent selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors. Inhibition of neuronal serotonin reuptake and subsequent potentiation at pre-and postsynaptic receptors may be responsible for inhibition of the ejaculation pathway.
