Let’s be honest, the effort to push Biden out of the Democratic race had a lot to do with his absolute failure on Gaza foreign policy as much as it had to do with his age and competence. Young people and Arab-American specifically voters were not going to vote for a ticket with Biden at the top, after seeing so much carnage day in and day out. But will they change their minds for Kamala? It depends if the Vice President plans to be any different than Biden on Israel. Depends on who you ask. According to one U.S. official, “there has been no division of labor or dispute on policy,” but others remember that she was the most senior administration official to call for an “immediate ceasefire” back in March. Additionally, she reportedly will not keep General Lloyd Austin or Secretary Blinken on should she make it to the White House, two authors of this U.S.-backed genocide. But after appearing to snub Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu by failing to intend his joint session of Congress (Harris was scheduled to be in Indiana at the time), it turns out that Kamala Harris would be taking a private meeting with Netanyahu sometime later in the week.
