There are many famous cheesesteak spots in Philly. Among the contenders for the best cheesesteak in Philadelphia: Dalessandro's Steaks, Jim's South Street, Campo's Philly cheesesteaks, Sonny's Famous Steaks, John's Roast Pork, Tony Luke's, Pat's King of Steaks, and Geno's Steaks are all frequently mentioned. However, while my personal opinion for the best cheesesteak in Philly is Dalessandro's, a close second is Max's Steaks in North Philly. Many of you may recognize Max's from Creed. There was a Max's Steaks Creed cameo scene, where Donnie (Michael B. Jordan) and Bianca (Tessa Thompson) go on a cheesesteak date. It was a very brief cameo and it really just served as a local authentic Philly cheesesteak spot for the movie, but if you actually visit Max's you will see that the movie did not do it justice. Max's huge cheesesteaks, the famous Max's 2 foot cheesesteaks, are legendary. Served on a soft Amoroso roll, slathered in mayo (controversial yes, but done that way here), paired with hot peppers or sweet peppers, fried onions, mushrooms, and sirloin steak, Max's is among Philadelphia's best cheesesteaks in my book. If you're looking for great Philly eats and the best restaurants in Philly, check out Max's Steaks sometime! When it comes to Philly street food and Philly cheap eats, as well as just objectively a great restaurant, it can't be beat! If you like my videos Like and Subscribe!
