Israel’s AI System Is Designed For Maximum Casualties [Duoa3t2riCu]

Should AI be in charge of choosing military targets? One novel and horrifying innovation that Israel’s war machine has deployed in their genocidal conquest of the Gaza Strip is the use of artificial intelligence to identify targets for execution. Using Israeli intelligence, the AI assigned every person in Gaza with a 1-100 rating to measure how likely it was that this person is in Hamas, or associated in some way with the resistance to occupation. The AI subsequently identified over 30,000 people in the Gaza strip that Israel deemed to be legitimate military targets. The markers for being one of those 30,000 can be things as innocuous as being in a certain Whatsapp group, or even that you replace your phone too often. According to the Israeli military, in at least 10% of cases, the AI was making fundamental mistakes and misidentifying people and their activities. Once the identified “militants” are identified as having entered their family house, the AI would then alert the military to strike the target, maximizing civilian casualties and practically ensuring that entirely families would be wiped out for the supposed associations of one person.
