Do you think your penis is too small? Watch this video and find out all about the details of micropenis! I'm Dr. med. Dr. phil. Stefan Buntrock, a board-certified urologist and sexologist from Göttingen. In this video on UroChannel, I'm here to shed light on an issue that concerns many men – penis size. Is your penis too small? Let's explore the facts and address some common misconceptions. Penises come in a variety of sizes, ranging from large to small, with varying girths as well. However, it's important to know that most men are surprisingly equal when it comes to penile length due to the normal distribution across the population. This means that the majority of men have penis sizes close to the average or mean value. In medical terms, a micropenis is defined as an erect penile length measuring less than 2.5 standard deviations below the mean value. Contrary to popular belief, micropenis is incredibly rare, affecting only 0.14% of the male population. If you suspect your penis may be too small, rest assured that the chances of having a micropenis are extremely low. For those born with micropenis, early diagnosis is crucial, as it allows for potential hormonal treatment during childhood when it's more likely to be effective. In adolescence and adulthood, hormonal treatments become less viable. Though penile enlargement surgery exists, it is challenging, and results may be limited. It's essential to manage expectations and consider psychological counseling as part of the treatment process.
