In this video, Mike explains a Modified Keto Diet and intermittent fasting. He talks about all the benefits of being in ketosis and how he wakes up every morning in a state of ketosis without eating a stringent keto diet. Mike provides a simple protocol that you can follow to wake up in ketosis and get all the fat burning and health benefits of ketosis (make sure you check with your doctor before going on a ketogenic diet). Once you understand that fructose is metabolized in the liver and when the liver glycogen gets very low is when the body starts converting fat into ketone bodies. A 12-hour intermittent fast (time restricted eating) can deplete liver glycogen and put you into a mild state of ketosis.
