On May 4th, WisconsinEye interviewed Wisconsin Attorney General Brad Schimel about the Wisconsin Department of Justice and Wisconsin Statewide Intelligence Center's advisory for law enforcement in regards to the legality of producing and selling hemp CBD oil in Wisconsin. The Industrial Hemp bill does not allow hemp CBD oil to be produced in Wisconsin, nor does it allow hemp CBD oil to be sold in places without proper permits. "We just need to make sure that there are some standards...that we have some idea what's in the CBD oil...these are all important things for consumer safety...," Attorney General Schimel said.
