Day 12 of 30 NO THIS IS NOT A PAID ENDORSEMENT FOR TREATIBLES!! OUR SITUATION: Our dog, Marley, has recently suffered from sudden nerve damage to his 7th and 8th facial nerves (responsible for muscle control in the eyes, face, and mouth) leaving him with partial paralysis. He is unable to blink his right eye, his lip is drooped and he has some balance issues that cause his head to tilt to one side. We took him to the vet, who thought it was an ear infection. The infection was not the cause after a dermatologist checked him out and did some blood work. She recommended going to a neurologist to determine what it could be. The neurologist can't make any further determinations without an MRI. Those run $2000+. He advised that since Marley isn't getting worse that we continue to monitor him closely until he makes a turn for the worst. After reading about some of the miracles that CBD (Cannabidiol) have done for other peoples pets we figured it was worth a try. Our main goal is to get his eye blinking again - that is the most visible sign of improvement and it is also one of his more vulnerable places since he can't blink his eye at all at any point during the day. PROCESS: He will taking 1 2.5mg treat daily for 30 days. During that time, we will be monitoring him for any bad reactions, but more importantly, any positive ones! We are really hoping to see him blink both of his eyes. After 30 days, we will look at the progress and make a determination as to whether they were beneficial, neutral or hurtful in some way.
