- An applicant may defer admission to an earlier/later semester. Applications are valid for one year. One deferral is allowed per application.
Application fee:
- 50 for US citizen, $70 for International Students
Please Note: Applicants who wish to apply for a different program will be required to submit a new application. The application processing fee is required for each application submitted.
Requirements:
Application requirements specific to this program :
- Official transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate course work taken at any accredited college or University attended (International applicants will be required to submit relevant International transcripts)
- You must have a master's degree that includes 24 semester hours of graduate level coursework in educational administration. TAMUCC's Master's Program in Educational Administration fulfills this requirement without the need for any additional courses. If you have your master's degree in a subject other than Educational Administration and would like to earn the Principal Certificate, you will need to fulfill additional 24 hours of coursework. Your faculty advisor will review your previous master's degree coursework, then prescribe the necessary 24 hours of coursework from the Master's Program curriculum.
- You must also have your initial educator certification.
- To receive your certificate you must take and pass the TExES Principal Exam. To receive your certificate, you must pass the TExES Principal As Instructional Leader (268) and Performance Assessment for School Leaders (368).
