Interfolio Platform for Review, Promotion, and Tenure

MEMORANDUM
TO: Islander Faculty
SUBJECT: Interfolio Platform for Review, Promotion, and Tenure

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce that Academic Affairs, PIR, and IT are collaborating to adopt Interfolio’s Annual Review, Promotion, and Tenure module to create a unified and seamless process to support faculty. As we implement the platform, faculty and administrators across campus will have access to a single, streamlined platform for managing the RPT process.

Please plan to discontinue use of Digital Measures by November 1, 2021, to give time to transition data to Interfolio. The Post-Tenure process and Faculty Annual Review will take place in Interfolio in Spring 2022.

Moving to Interfolio is an exciting change that will lead to greater transparency, equity, and ease in the faculty review process and is part of our ambition to strengthen systems and adhere to best practices across the many specialties that comprise TAMU-CC. Interfolio will help address long-standing inconsistencies and manual processes in the RPT process.

With the Interfolio platform, faculty will be able to receive clear instructions and have access to an easy tool to assemble, label, arrange, and submit their formal packet. The system helps keep the process professional and standardized and ensures that all faculty members have an equitable means to present themselves. With promotion and tenure, faculty committees will be able to review applicant materials, solicit external and internal letters of review and recommendation, share candidate materials with the appropriate University administrators, and vote – all within a single platform.

A collaborative team from TAMU-CC, along with partners from Interfolio, have begun set up, template construction, and data integration, and we plan to launch Interfolio on December 1, 2021.

Over the next few months, you will receive relevant updates and information about the Interfolio platform and the implementation process.
