About RISE UPP

Texas A&M University System RISE UPP Program is a fellowship program that connects postdoctoral candidates in STEM across an alliance of 5 Texas A&M system and 3 other University System partners.

The RISE UPP Postdoctoral Fellowship was created to support the development and advancement of promising postdoctoral candidates in STEM who demonstrates a commitment to, awareness of, and engagement with; social justice, campus climate, student success and mentorship.

As a network of public, land-grant, minority serving institutions, the participating Texas A&M University System Schools uphold their responsibility to accountability, campus climate, and scholarship by maintaining a campus that affirms community and fostering a collaborative professional environment.

The RISE UPP Postdoctoral Fellowship program serves to increase the amount of opportunities for all postdoctoral fellows to interact and engage with faculty that share their cultural and lived experiences and promotes the Texas A&M Systems University’s common goal of providing the highest quality of undergraduate and graduate education and promoting the development of new understandings through research and creativity

 Program Requirements

  • Must have earned a STEM* doctoral degree by date of initial appointment
  • Meet the departmental requirements for a postdoctoral fellowship.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to diversity and addressing the needs of students from underserved communities (in research, mentorship, service, and teaching).

 Eligibility

Texas A&M University System RISE UPP Fellowship Program is soliciting applications to enhance the recruitment and retention of diverse STEM Postdoctoral candidates. New and current postdoctoral fellows are eligible to apply.
