Our Mission & Values

The mission of the IPB is to play an integral part of the gameday experience providing high-quality musical entertainment and promoting school spirit, while embodying what it means to be an ISLANDER! IPB values:

If you have past band experience, you are invited to join the Islander Pep Band! The Islander Pep Band is the most visual musical ensemble on campus, playing in front of thousands of fans at athletic events throughout the season. The Islander Pep Band plays an integral part of the gameday experience providing high-quality musical entertainment and promoting school spirit while embodying what it means to be an Islander!

Membership in the Islander Pep Band gives you the opportunity to be a contributor to the exciting atmosphere and gameday experience of Islander Athletics instead of merely being just a spectator!

Membership will provide you with:

  • Performing high-energy music from popular musical artists
  • Money earning potential: $20 per game cash/$700-800 per season
  • High-quality official TAMU-CC Adidas apparel
  • Travel to conference tournament games (all expenses paid)
  • Positive and rewarding experience

Interested in joining?  Sign up for MUEN 1127.001 or MUEN 3127.001 (depending on your classification). No audition is required! The Islander Pep Band meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 - 7:15 pm. Once the music is sufficiently learned and the season gets on its way rehearsals will be minimal to accommodate for the game schedule and your individual student needs.
