Art Workshops
FREE family art workshops open to kids 5 & up, teens, and parents/guardians!
Led by instructors Mayra Zamora, Eugene Soliz, and Monica Marie Garcia
1-2pm at the Antonio E. Garcia Arts & Education Center, 2021 Agnes St.
Limited spaces available! Pre-register your family by calling 361-825-3600.
Agenda:
- Kids age 5-12 will do an array of 2-dimensional works over the course of the series.
- Teen participants will have opportunities for 3D building
- Adults can participate in step-by-step painting instruction. This is not a standalone class for adults, but parents who have a child registered are encouraged to take part!

- June 9
- The workshop for this week is El Sol (K-5 and parent group) and trinket boxes, part 1 (grades 6-12).
- June 23
- The workshop for this week is Spills (K-5), glazing trinket boxes, part 2 (grades 6-12), and fireworks (parents).
- July 14
- The workshop for this week is sandia (K-5), coil masks, part 1 (grades 6-12), and tulips (parents).
- July 28
- The workshop for this week is El Ojo (K-5), glazing coil masks, part 2 (grades 6-12), and El Ojo (parents).
- August 11
- The workshop for this week is Galaxies (K-5), cats, part 1 (grades 6-12), and sunflowers (parents).
- August 25
- The workshop for this week is paletas (K-5), glazing cats, part 2 (grades 6-12), and bluebonnets (parents).
