New Employee Benefits Orientation
Congratulations on your new position! We are excited you have decided to join us! The entire Islander community wishes you great success in your career here at the university. A Benefit Partner assigns this orientation. You must attend a benefits orientation within the first 30 days of employment to decide what benefits you want to enroll in by the 31st day.
If you plan to enroll in benefits on your hire date, you must attend a benefits orientation within seven days of employment. If no benefit orientation is scheduled within seven days of employment, you must contact the Benefits Office to discuss available benefits options.
TRS
TRS Request for Retirement Estimate: You can also request an estimate by submitting a request through your MyTRS Account on the TRS website. You should request and receive your estimate before attending a pre-retirement workshop.Summer Premium Workshop
This workshop is for H.R. Contacts who handle Workday processing for faculty, adjunct faculty, and graduate assistants. How you enter appointments in Workday helps determine whether or not an employee is eligible for benefits during the summer months. Learn what makes an employee eligible for insurance coverage over the summer and how this should be recorded in Workday.
