The Texas A&M University System recognizes the importance of fostering employee wellness. The Chancellor’s Wellness Initiative includes a two-pronged approach: inventive employees to have an annual wellness exam with their physician and engaging employees in healthy behaviors through campus- and agency-based programs encouraging wellness.
Walk for Wellness, Free Friday, Well Punch Passes and Islander Rewards enrollment is at the Recreational Sports Center Office, located in the Dugan Wellness Center. For more information, please email Wellness@tamucc.edu.

Perks and Discounts
The PerksConnect employee discount program is a lifestyle product and service discount savings program enabling employees and retirees to find great deals on items and services they need and use every day. PerksConnect users receive discounts on everything from local restaurants, movie theater tickets, vacations, online retail purchases, and insurance and benefits products.
*When you get ready to take advantage of these discounts, be sure to confirm what you will need to verify your employment – usually, it’s a payslip, business card, or university identification card.
Be Well University Cup
The "Be Well" University Cup is a university-wide wellness challenge, which aims to name the TAMUCC Division Team most committed to living well. Teams will be made of 3 to 5 employees within the same division. Points are earned from March 1st to April 25th for each person who participates in various Wellness Committee-sponsored events. The Division Team with the most participation will be awarded the title of "Be Well" University Cup Champions at the annual Islander Awards Celebration. Individuals can enter participation information in the Be Well University Cup Portal. Teams will get credit for individual entries. It is not required that a Team Leader complete all entries.

Programs usually offer in-person and telephonic counseling services, and training, and have resources to help employees deal with all kinds of stressful issues from parenting to the death of a loved one and conflicts at work.
